Mobile game developer SayGames recently hired interior design studio Dudes Architect to design their new office in Minsk, Belarus.

“The common area of the office is joined by a podium work space. The common space with an integrated kitchen conceals a staircase which leads up to the podium and creates a clean composition of simple forms. The common open space is shaped by several functional areas: a coffee point (kitchen) with an oak veneer dining table, an active table tennis zone, a relaxation area with a large sofa and a common hallway area with wall-integrated veneered closets.

The active tennis area is in the company’s signature color. The rich green color of the walls, ceiling and floor in a microcement version forms a separate volume that becomes the central dominant feature of the office. Glass stained-glass windows and doors in the partitions of the two adjoining rooms let natural light into the central space of the active table tennis zone. The stained glass windows of the offices opening out into the common area unite the disparate rooms into a single volume and create a coherent architecture. In the center of the ceiling there is a circular light plane, which creates atmosphere and compensates for the lack of natural light. On the blank wall there is a green curtain in the color of the walls, which creates a theatrical curtain effect and is an element of sound absorption.

The company occupies several floors and the architecture of the building allowed two openings for stained glass to visually unite the two spaces on different floors. The coffee point is made of American walnut veneer and is integrated into the wall screens. These panels form the portals of the two stained glass windows and flow seamlessly into the cabinets of the corridor, forming a complex single line of furniture. The lighting of the corridor is made with vertical wall lights, which give a soft diffused light on the walls and do not emphasize the ceiling with exposed utilities.

To create a cozy, comfortable workspace, natural, ecological finishing materials were adopted and a large number of plants were used. The walls of the offices are covered with veneered panels of American walnut. On the floor is used oak parquet. Ceilings throughout the office are concrete brushed. Acoustic veneered panels with integrated lamps were used in the offices for sound comfort. Dimmable lighting was applied in the cabinets individually above each desk. Desks with individual height adjustment for comfortable work of each employee were also used in the cabinets. Curtains and upholstered furniture textiles are in natural shades of gray.

Meeting room is made of painted MDF wall coverings in a nuanced pink color. The wall-mounted whiteboard is made of lacomat panels. A veneered acoustic panel was used on the ceiling for sound comfort. Carpeting is used on the floor and curtains on the walls for additional sound absorption.
The color scheme of materials in the project is restrained: gray microcement on the floor, oak parquet, wall panels of walnut, concrete ceilings, light gray walls, gray carpeting, a subtle soft pink color of the walls and accent green. In the project, all materials were chosen with maximum naturalness and a nuanced relationship to each other. The result is a bright, minimalistic office with a comfortable home-like atmosphere,” says Dudes Architect.

Game development firm Stark Games hired architecture interior design firm Studio11 to design their new office in Minsk, Belarus.

“The interior project for the new office space of Stark Games company emerged as an experiment in terms of colour and composition solutions. At the stage of design we took the course for greater latitude of solutions, the courage of fusions and discovering new colour chords.

We began by dividing the 910 square meter office into separate volumes by applying different colours to each of the sectors. The central block, starting with the reception space, which leads onto meeting rooms and offices are all finished in a soft mint.
The blue general workspace is blue. Zoned by a plywood shelving unit, a series of ceiling-height open boxes and square boxes with doors, that run along the perimeter of the building.

The carpet in the fitout is coloured to express zones. The multi-coloured carpeting with its geometric composition, circles here, squares there and the use of changing colours to mark the boundaries of interior areas and emphasize specific zones offers an interesting design technique. The lighting system installed in the office is equally mathematical. We retained the kitchen’s original flooring, metal square sheeting. A bar height island bench of light-blue artificial stone with a central corridor of lush plants is the main focus of the red and blue and mint coloured kitchen. The kitchen work surface joinery is made from red artificial stone, with cabinet doors of light-blue painted glass.

An experiment in terms of color and composition, freedom of solutions, spirit of combination and discovery of new color harmonies. Smart and organic combination of this whole palette formed a fundamental vector of the project concept,” says Studio11.

Mobile app startup Loóna’s recently hired architecture and interior design firm Studio11 to design their new office in Minsk, Belarus.

“The passage to the main workspace of Loona runs through an ebony tunnel housing a dressing zone and a small waiting area. The workstations of the open space are separated from the walkthrough zone by a system of dividers with live plants which gives more privacy to employees, and also divides them into two work teams.

A blueberry amphitheater is the main accent of the whole space. Being a dining zone most of the time, it can also be transformed into a lectorium seating up to 20 people. The geometry of ceilings in the meeting rooms is originally dictated by their location in former wood-drying workshops and is emphasized by RGB lighting.

In addition to that, the industrial nature of space is complemented with wall-mounted metal grids. The contrast of new austere volumes with existing rough textures of a former industrial building gives energy to the space, while using middle height dividers enlightens and softens it,” says Studio11.

Gismart, a software company that develops and publishes entertainment-focused music apps and games, recently hired architecture firm Dudes Architect to design their new office in Mink, Belarus.

“Modernism and the characteristics of the avant-garde of the early twentieth century are the basis that lies in the concept of the office interior for the Information Technology Company «Gismart». The DUDES architect team set itself the task of creating a comfortable working environment in“open space” conditions. For this purpose, the office was separated into two functional areas: office (working) and break area, all important factors of the operational environment were taken into account too, such as zoning, light and silence. The core of the office is a green cupboard with rounded corners for storing clothes and other things. It brings all work areas together. There are shelfs with soft pillows in the cupboard, where workers can retire or hold a short meeting without disturbing others. The continuation of the core are light graphic racks with green vegetation. This racks divide the common workspace into small command cells. Small-format tiles of two colours are used to highlight different functional areas on the floor: brown tiles in the transit area and terracotta in the work area. The workplaces are highlighted by turning the tile 90 degrees. The transit zone is separated by “capsules” and an entrance branded brick partition with a fence made of polycarbonate of milk color. You can negotiate or just relax in the “capsules” with soft sofas and blackout curtains. Zoning of the space and the selection of the working cell are also achieved by using metal ceiling frames with lamps. The screens above them reflect the light. They don’t let the light scatter across the ceiling. The method of using screens of particle boards for reflecting light is used throughout the office to illuminate workplaces and is a visual horizontal beating of a high room. A textured cement surface was made on the ceiling and walls to give a comfortable environment in the work areas. Its porous structure absorbs noise and creates the effect of a warm textile surface that you want to touch. There are three meeting rooms in the office. A number of events have been created in meeting rooms to absorb noise. Firstly, acoustic foam (textile) panels in form of negotiations tables are placed on the ceiling. Secondly, heavy textile curtains are hanging on stained-glass panels and windows. Thirdly, decorative walls made of profiled metal reflect and distribute sound due to its shape. There is a telephone booth in the common core of the green cupboard. The booth is isolated from the general space by acoustic foam rubber. The burgundy color of foam rubber and neon lights create a mysterious atmosphere of film developing room inside the telephone booth.A black ceiling without lighting, dark wall color and wall vertical lighting are used in the transit areas of the corridors. These techniques create the effect of a “tunnel” or “sleeve”. The tunnel connects the door portals of the work areas with the recreation zone and conversely. There are places to make phone calls in the corridors. These places are round soft panels with graphics (“architectural suprematism”), to which you can lean against and communicate in the dark atmosphere of the corridor-tunnel. The break area is located in a separate room and is divided into several functional areas, but they are all united by a single concept -the “greenhouse”. Each office worker will find a secluded place where he can relax among the large green plants. This can be a kitchen with a movable dining table, a bar or a games area with soft poufs. You can retire to the round soft sofas and hold a short meeting or just have a quiet dinner. In the “workout” area you can actively spend your time and hang a little on the parallel bars,” said DUDES Architect

PandaDoc, a technology company that operates a document management software for streamlining sales workflow, recently hired architecture and interior design firm Studio 11 to design a new office in Minsk, Belarus for their growing team of 130 employees.

“All employees are functionally divided into 4 large open-spaces complemented by a fifth space which is a common kitchen. From both stylistic and methodologic point of view the project mainly fixes on principles of “the third wave” of modern architecture such as, for example, the purity of technique. Project coloristics highlights the achromatic background and two main colors – blue and burgundy. The influence of postmodern design can be witnessed in the light game-like way these color volumes are arranged and in the variety of usage scenarios created,” says Studio11
